Ford India Sales Record 20,648 Vehicles in August

NEW DELHI, September 01, 2018 – Ford India’s combined domestic wholesales and exports in August registered 20,648 vehicles, compared to 15,740 vehicles in August 2017.

The domestic wholesales in August rose to 8,042 vehicles as against 7,777 units in the same month last year. Exports grew to 12,606 vehicles compared to 7,963 units in August 2017.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Kerala, who are demonstrating great resilience in the face of a grave calamity faced,” said Anurag Mehrotra, president and managing director, Ford India. “As an industry, it was heartening to witness everyone come up to support the state in the time of crisis.”

Ford employees and dealership teams came together in support of Kerala and contributed close to Rs. 1.6 Crore for relief and rehabilitation efforts. The total amount is split between the Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund and the NGO Goonj to provide holistic support to rehabilitation efforts in the state.

United with the people of the state, Ford also announced a slew of service measures for its customers including

  • Increase in Ford Road Side Assistance (RSA) fleet and Free towing of impacted vehicles
  • Doubling the workforce and shift (7 AM till 10 PM) to expedite repairs at dealerships
  • Appointment of surveyors across Ford dealerships for immediate insurance claim approval
  • Ford to borne 50% of the depreciation cost on parts claimed under insurance
  • Free engine oil replacement
  • Underbody anti-rust treatment and interior jobs at 50% of the cost
  • 30% discount on Zoomcar rentals for vehicle repair - beyond 24 hours – in the dealership

Growing its footprint in the eastern region, the company also extended its sales and service reach in Bihar with the inauguration of Advik Ford facilities in the capital, Patna. Spread across 18,000 square feet, the Sales and Service facility at Advik Ford is fully equipped with 16 service bays to deliver a differentiated experience to customers.
