The new Ford Endeavour 2.0 automatic comes with a feature known as shift lock. This is an in-built feature in the 10-speed automatic that allows the driver to lock the gearbox as required. The same selection can be made from the gear lever and once the upper limit (gear number) is defined, the transmission will not shift beyond that gear. This is very helpful off the road.
