SÃO BERNARDO DO CAMPO, Brazil - The all-new EcoSport and Ford Fusion won the 10 Best Award, sponsored by Car and Driver magazine as "Best SUV" and "Best Premium Sedan," respectively. This award reinforces Ford's position as the most awarded automaker in 2012, winning major awards in the market with its new global vehicles.

The 10 Best Award elects the country's top vehicles in 10 categories. The winners were chosen by the editors of the magazine and website Car and Driver, which evaluated a total of 221 cars. The EcoSport outperformed the Chevrolet Spin and Honda CR-V models in the final, while the Fusion competed against the Kia Optima and Hyundai Azera. In order to chose the Champion, the regulation took into account modern design, technological innovation, safety (for driver, passenger and pedestrian), performance, driver satisfaction, comfort, merchantability and respect for the environment.

Record awardsFord is the biggest highlight of year 2012 between automakers. It won the top awards in the press with the launch of the new generation of the Ranger, EcoSport, Fusion and Fusion Hybrid lines, in addition to the EcoBoost and Duratorq Diesel engines. In total, the brand has already won 20 awards.
